Prophet Owusu Bempah, the founder of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, has challenged President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia to stop taking credit for the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy. Speaking to his congregants, Owusu Bempah emphasized that the policy's implementation didn't come from the president's personal funds, but rather from taxpayers' money .
"Is it the president's money he used for free education? Is it not our own money and the taxes we paid that he used for Free education?" Owusu Bempah questioned. He further argued that if the government uses taxpayers' money to provide education, it's not truly "free" .
This statement seems to contradict Owusu Bempah's previous praise for Akufo-Addo's Free SHS policy, where he acknowledged it as a life-changing developmental project . However, his current stance highlights the complexity of Ghana's education system and the ongoing debate surrounding the policy's funding.
