In recent news, celebrated Ghanaian musician Skrewface has voiced his disappointment with Stonebwoy, the well-known Bhim Nation President, over his stance on a potential collaboration between the two. The much-anticipated partnership between Skrewface and Stonebwoy has hit a wall, as Stonebwoy recently expressed doubts about the business sense behind the idea.
During a candid interview on Onua Showtime with McBrown, Stonebwoy addressed the idea of remixing his popular track “Jejereje.” He explained that the song has already given him the success he aimed for and that, from a business perspective, he doesn’t see any further benefit in revisiting it.
In response, Skrewface released a self-recorded video sharing his thoughts on the matter. He clarified that while fans had shown interest in the collaboration, he himself hadn’t been particularly eager for it. Instead, his suggestion was to give the song a fresh boost that could extend its reach. Skrewface also emphasized that he’s not “hungry for success” and was not reaching out solely for his own gain.
Furthermore, Skrewface took a moment to advise Stonebwoy on the value of humility. He reminded Stonebwoy of the contributions that veteran musicians like himself made to lay the foundation for Ghana’s vibrant music scene—a path that Stonebwoy and others have since followed and flourished in.
This exchange between Skrewface and Stonebwoy highlights the sometimes complex dynamics between established and rising artists, particularly when it comes to collaboration and respect in the music industry.
