Controversial Ghanaian media personality, Sally Mann, has weighed in on the recent actions and statements of Prophet Salifu Amoako, adding her unfiltered take to the conversation.
During her show on Adom TV, Sally Mann addressed what she sees as a significant shortcoming in the Prophet’s conduct. According to her, Prophet Amoako’s lack of emotional intelligence has led him to make statements that, instead of comforting people during tough times, only seem to spark more frustration and anger.
Sally Mann questioned how someone who struggles to manage his own emotions could confidently stand before a congregation, presenting himself as a guide to what’s right and wrong. “Ghanaians should forgive him because he lacks emotional intelligence,” she said. “He cannot use, manage, or control his emotions. Yet, he stands before his congregation with a Bible, which calls for us to be lawful, even as he claims to be lawless.”
She further noted that this issue of emotional intelligence even surfaced in the Prophet’s handling of a recent incident involving his son. When given the chance to apologize, she observed, he instead took to the pulpit to dismiss public concern, urging people to stop discussing the matter. For Mann, this reaction only further confirmed her point about his struggle with emotional intelligence.
Sally Mann’s criticism adds a bold voice to the ongoing discourse, sparking a conversation on the qualities expected of public and spiritual figures in navigating public sentiment, especially during sensitive situations.
