Former Ghanaian football star Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has finally addressed the long-standing rumors about his alleged romantic relationship with media personality Delay.
Speaking in an interview with Sammy Kay, the ex-Black Stars player clarified that his relationship with Delay has always been platonic. According to Agyemang Badu, they became close friends through one of Delay’s associates but maintained clear boundaries in their friendship.
He explained that their closeness sometimes led to misunderstandings. For instance, during a period when his family wasn’t in Accra, Badu felt comfortable visiting Delay’s house for meals. This level of familiarity may have fueled speculations about their relationship.
Agyemang Badu also recounted a specific incident that intensified the rumors. He revealed that Delay once drove his car, which had a customized number plate bearing his name. He explained that the situation arose when his car broke down on his way to visit family in the Brong Ahafo region. Delay, as a trusted friend, came to his aid by exchanging vehicles with him.
These events, he noted, were misconstrued by the public, leading to baseless claims of a romantic connection. Agyemang Badu reiterated that their relationship was purely one of friendship and mutual respect.
