Ghana’s outspoken media personality, Sally Mann, recently made bold statements about the well-known dancehall artist, Shatta Wale, suggesting he shouldn’t be taken too seriously when he makes physical threats. According to Sally, neither Shatta Wale nor any other musician in the Ghanaian industry would truly engage in physical confrontation or incite fans to harm others.
In a recent interview on Joy TV, Sally Mann pointed out that Shatta Wale’s fierce social media persona is just a façade, labeling him as a “fearo” – someone who appears tough but doesn’t back it up in real life. This insight came after Sally was asked if she’s ever felt intimidated by the harsh backlash she’s received for criticizing popular figures like Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
Unfazed, Sally shared that she’s never felt a moment of fear despite the threats. In fact, she believes that her criticisms play a valuable role in Ghana’s entertainment industry, helping to keep artists, actors, and actresses in check. According to her, Ghana’s celebrities need voices like hers to hold them accountable and keep them grounded.
Sally Mann’s remarks serve as a reminder that sometimes, the most fiery online personas may not always reflect reality – especially in an industry where reputation is as valuable as talent.
