Kumawood actor Komfo Kolege, famed for his roles as a fetish priest in local movies, has addressed speculations about him marrying a new lady.
The rumors began circulating after photos surfaced of the actor leading a woman—allegedly his long-time girlfriend—to the altar. These images sparked criticism online, with many social media users arguing that it was too soon for Kolege to remarry following the recent passing of his wife.
Some netizens speculated that Kolege had been in a relationship with the woman for a long time, suggesting the timing of the marriage was insensitive. Others opined that such a decision disrespected the memory of his late wife.
However, during an interview with Kwaku Manu, which was monitored by Gh Page, Komfo Kolege set the record straight. He firmly denied the claims, calling for the rumors to be disregarded.
"It wasn’t me who married the lady," he clarified. "I was standing in for someone who couldn’t be present at the time."
Kolege’s explanation has put an end to the swirling rumors, but the incident has sparked a larger conversation about public figures’ personal lives and the pressure they face from societal expectations.
