Minister for Information, Fatimatu Abubakar, has thrown down the gauntlet, daring members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to explain their touted 24-hour economy strategy. In a recent interview, she categorically stated that no NDC member, from the flagbearer to the ordinary member, can provide a clear explanation of this concept.
According to Fatimatu Abubakar, the NDC's 24-hour economy promise has been a recurring theme, but its meaning remains elusive. She questioned the viability of this strategy, suggesting it may not be sufficient to drive national development. The minister advised the NDC flagbearer and members to "come back better" with a more comprehensive plan.
Fatimatu Abubakar highlighted the importance of demand-driven economic initiatives, citing hospitals and pharmacies that operate 24/7 due to existing demand. However, she criticized the NDC's vague explanations, labeling them "ridiculous" and unrelated to Ghana's economic architecture.
The NDC's 24-Hour Economy Strategy: What Does it Entail?
Despite the minister's criticism, the NDC's strategy reportedly focuses on various sectors, including:

The minister's challenge remains: can the NDC provide a clear, convincing explanation of their 24-hour economy strategy? Fatimatu Abubakar suggests that NPP members should ask NDC members to explain this concept, emphasizing that it's embarrassing that even top NDC officials can't provide a clear answer.
Will the NDC rise to the challenge and provide clarity on their 24-hour economy strategy? Only time will tell.
