Veteran Ghanaian actor and staunch New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporter, Agya Koo, has expressed his strong reservations about the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC). In a recent statement, Agya Koo alleged that the NDC's primary interest is to "create, loot, and share" power, rather than working for the benefit of Ghanaians.
Agya Koo's concerns were sparked by the NDC's declaration that, if given 2 million Cedis, they would not invest in the Free Senior High School (SHS) program. He questioned the NDC's intentions, pointing out that they failed to provide an alternative plan for utilizing the funds to benefit the Ghanaian people.
"The NDC said if they had two million, they will not invest it in Free SHS. However, they did not provide us with any alternative; an indication that they are just into steam from the people and did not provide any policy alternative," Agya Koo stated.
As a well-known figure in Ghana's entertainment industry, Agya Koo's opinions carry significant weight. His sentiments echo those of other NPP supporters who are skeptical about the NDC's commitment to Ghana's development.
Agya Koo, born Kofi Adu, has been a prominent figure in Ghanaian cinema, starring in over 200 films, including "Obaatanpa," "Away Bus," and "Black Star". His views on politics have been outspoken, particularly in his support for the NPP.
