Black Sherif Claps Back at Shatta Wale’s Remarks on Diamond Chains
The ongoing tension between Black Sherif and Shatta Wale has taken another turn after the dancehall star threw shade at the young musician during an interview on Angel FM. Shatta Wale claimed that it would take Black Sherif at least ten years to afford the diamond chains he wears.
In the interview, Shatta Wale urged Black Sherif to remain humble and learn from the industry's seasoned players to achieve success. However, the "Kwaku the Traveller" hitmaker wasted no time addressing the remarks.
Black Sherif took to his Snapchat to respond subtly but pointedly. He posted pictures of his own chains—those Shatta Wale allegedly labeled as fake—and accompanied them with a cryptic message. Quoting a popular Akan saying, he wrote: “Hyebre sesafo) me awurade,” which translates to "It is only God who changes destinies."
The feud between these two artists highlights the ongoing competitive dynamic within Ghana’s music industry. While Shatta Wale continues to position himself as an elder statesman in the industry, Black Sherif's rising stardom signals a generational shift that fans are closely watching.
