Wanderlust Ghana, a group of intrepid adventurers backed by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and the Ghana Tourism Authority, has fallen victim to theft in Germany. During their 30,000-kilometer expedition from Accra to Dubai, the team's vehicle was broken into in Krefeld, Germany.
On their 13th day of travel, thieves smashed the front window of their Tacoma and stole valuable items, including a team member's passport. Kwame Peprah, a team member, shared the incident on Facebook, expressing concern about the impact on their journey.
"We're currently at a German police station filing a report. If Kwame's passport was stolen, we can get a new one issued at the Berlin embassy, but reissuing visas for the remaining route may be challenging," Peprah said.
This setback may force one team member to abandon the trip. Wanderlust Ghana's determination to promote Ghanaian tourism remains unwavering, despite this unfortunate event.
