Ghanaian gospel musician Brother Sammy, known as the 'Nation's Worshipper,' has ignited a heated online discussion. In a recent interview on UTV's United Showbiz, Brother Sammy boldly declared that betting, lotto, and body piercings are not sinful.
Brother Sammy urged Christians to refrain from judging others based on personal lifestyle choices, emphasizing the importance of open-mindedness. He pointed out the hypocrisy of some pastors who condemn betting while allowing their children to participate in lotteries abroad.
"Many Christians pray for financial breakthroughs, yet dismiss betting as a means of earning money," Brother Sammy noted. "People want quick income, and betting is one way to achieve that."
Although he hasn't personally participated in betting, Brother Sammy acknowledged knowing individuals who have used their winnings to support church-building projects. "I wouldn't preach against it," he emphasized.
Brother Sammy's unconventional views have sparked a necessary conversation about faith, judgment, and personal freedom.
