Renowned Ghanaian preacher, Rev Obofour, has launched a blistering attack on the nation's leadership, condemning the escalating economic hardship, pervasive corruption, and blatant disregard for the rule of law. In an impassioned address to his congregation, Rev Obofour labeled corrupt politicians as "witches" who hold high-ranking positions, including Members of Parliament and Presidents, and are responsible for the country's suffering.
Rev Obofour emphasized the direct link between the corrupt actions of these leaders and the hardships faced by Ghanaians. He lamented Ghana's inability to provide basic infrastructure, citing the lack of a state-of-the-art stadium capable of hosting international events. "We don't have even one stadium that can properly host international matches," he exclaimed, expressing disappointment over the country's regressed development.
The preacher also highlighted the harsh realities faced by many citizens, including children attending schools under trees and the skyrocketing cost of living. He criticized the government for failing to address these pressing issues, accusing politicians of misusing state resources for personal gain. "Politicians are spending the nation's wealth on their side chicks and children," Rev Obofour said, accusing leaders of prioritizing their private interests over the welfare of the people.
As the founder and leader of the Anointed Palace Chapel , Rev Obofour's words carry significant weight. His critique echoes the sentiments of many Ghanaians who feel let down by their leaders. Will Rev Obofour's message spark change, or will it fall on deaf ears?
