Kennedy Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, has lauded the resilience of his friend, George Oti Bonsu, in the wake of the demolition of his estate complex in Adjiringanor by the family of the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia. During Oti Bonsu's 65th birthday celebration, Agyapong commended his friend's strength and composed demeanor amidst the adversity. Reflecting on the situation, Agyapong admitted that if he were in Oti Bonsu's shoes, the stress might have led him to seek medical attention. He praised Oti Bonsu's generosity, citing an instance where he offered financial support for a funeral despite his own challenges. Agyapong emphasized Oti Bonsu's resilience, contrasting it with his own hypothetical reaction to a similar situation. Recalling Oti Bonsu's past struggles, Agyapong highlighted his journey from selling furniture out of cars to facing the recent demolition of his property. He described the demolition as an act by the "owners of the country" against Oti Bonsu. George Oti Bonsu, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) financier, disclosed the demolition of his property due to a land dispute involving Samira Bawumia's family. Despite court orders, his investment was destroyed, which he attributed to the influence of powerful individuals. At a press conference, Oti Bonsu expressed disappointment at the lack of accountability and the disregard for legal processes. He maintained that he had lawfully acquired the land and challenged the opposing party to prove otherwise. The demolition, shared on social media by Ken Agyapong's son, highlighted the abuse of power. The incident underscores broader issues of land disputes and impunity within the system.

On the Asaase Breakfast Show aired on May 6, 2024, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the communications director for the Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia Campaign team, exuded confidence in the Vice President's electoral prospects.

Aboagye highlighted Bawumia's strong track record in delivering on promises to voters, a factor he believes will resonate nationwide.

Aboagye emphasized the potential for Bawumia to secure victories in 15 out of 16 regions, citing the government's successful fulfillment of many polling stations' needs and the widespread belief in Bawumia's capacity to address remaining challenges.

He underscored that Bawumia's appeal transcends party lines, asserting that the Vice President's popularity extends across the nation's 38,622 polling stations.

While acknowledging potential challenges in certain areas, Aboagye remained optimistic about Bawumia's overall electoral success.

He referenced Ghana's political landscape, noting historical trends where winning eight out of 10 regions is feasible. Aboagye concluded by stating that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's potential to secure victories spans all regions except the Volta Region.
