The Deputy President, Dr. Bawumia, has stirred up online discussions with his assertion regarding the impact of the Ghana card on reducing corruption in the country.
Speaking at the 14th Regional Conference of Heads of Anti-Corruption Agencies in Accra, Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia emphasized the role of the Ghana card in combating corruption.
He highlighted that the unique identification provided by the Ghana card facilitates the tracking of individuals involved in corrupt activities, preventing the easy laundering of ill-gotten gains.
Dr. Bawumia explained that integrating the Ghana card into various systems such as bank accounts, SIM cards, mobile money accounts, tax records, driver's licenses, vehicle licensing records, National Health Insurance records, pension records, and payroll cards enhances detection of cybercrimes.
